100% NATURAL HAIR TOPPER

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HAIR TOPPERS

1. What is a Hair Topper?

A topper is not a wig and they are not extensions, but something right in the middle. It is ideal for women with little hair or very fine hair. Covers missing hair, providing instant volume and length. Our toppers are all natural human hair, never synthetic.

It is an ideal option for women suffering from mild to moderate androgenic alopecia or hair loss on the top of the head. Provides just the right amount of density and coverage. A parting can be made freely to the left, right or center.

It is very easy to put on and stays firmly attached in place securely all day. Light and breathable.

Perfect for people who want to hide hair loss on the crown, or add more volume. It's so natural that it looks like your own hair.

2. How do I choose the appropriate size, density, length and color?

  • BASE: The base of the topper is measured in inches and has nothing to do with the size of the head, but with the part you want to cover. If the hairlessness is advanced you will need a piece that covers the entire head. For example 7″ x 8″. Measure all the part you want to cover on your head both length and width, and add 1 inch more.
  • LENGTH: The length depends on the length of your own hair and what you want to achieve.
For example, if you have short or shoulder-length hair, a length of 16 inches (40 cm) is enough.
  • DENSITY: If you want the topper to cover all your hair, choose a high density. If you can match it with your own hair, choose a medium density. Everything will depend on how advanced your fall is.

3. How do I choose the appropriate color?

COLOR: If your hair is natural black it will be easy because no color difference will be noticeable.

But in general, combining the topper with your own hair is very easy, much easier than hair extensions. No one has only one color hair, and it is usually very easy to combine shades of your hair.

You can also give it a color bath if you wish, always darkening better than lightening. It is 100% natural hair and you can do the same things with it as you would with your own hair.

4. What quality and density does it have?

  • QUALITY: It is thick and strong hair. The tips are even. It is 100% natural hair with cuticle and lasts between 1 and 3 years depending on care.
  • DENSITY: The density of a topper ranges from 100% to 130%.

The high density ones have a curtain that covers all your hair.

The medium density ones will need to be combined with your own hair. Smaller bases (up to 5 inches) typically have medium density and larger bases (over 6 inches) typically have high density.

In any case, it is always better to thin out and remove volume if you want less, than to see yourself with too little hair.

5. What type of base do I choose?

There are 2 types of bases: Mono and Silk .

In both cases the hair is grafted to give a natural appearance and has clips on the perimeter to provide support.

  • MONO : This foundation is lighter and more breathable, but not as natural.
  • SILK : This foundation is heavier but has a scalp effect that makes it more realistic.

Some SILK pieces also have a woven part (those with a larger base) that make them much more comfortable to wear, especially in advanced alopecia.

In both types of bases you can part and style it exactly the same as you would with your own hair.

6. How is it washed and what maintenance does it require?

The washing frequency is every 1 or 2 months, and it is really easy. The topper's hair gets much less dirty than your own hair because it does not have the roots that add grease to your hair nor does it have direct contact with your scalp so it hardly gets stained with sweat.

You can use the bathroom sink, or a basin or basin with water and start by spraying shampoo and water from the ends.

Rub and wash the hair, avoiding as much as possible putting shampoo in the cap area.

Rinse carefully under the tap and allow to air dry with a plastic denture base.

Brush from bottom to top and leave in the sun to avoid humidity.

Iron it and it will look like new.

Enjoy your clean topper.

In this video tutorial you can see how to use wash it.

7. What happens on rainy days?

I used to have to wear a hat especially when using hair fibers to avoid staining my scalp.

But with the topper it's actually easier because if it gets a little wet it dries naturally just like my own hair.

In this video you will see more than easy.

8. How is it placed?

When placing it, take some of your own hair from the front of the bangs and put them on top.

With this and some hairpins to hold on the sides you will have a simple and elegant style.

9. What is the transition like? Will you suddenly notice a lot of hair volume?

This is something very important.

It is usually common to have the fear of transition. But I was able to verify that they really are unfounded fears. How am I going to go from being a hairless person to having a mane of hair?!

Too easy. At home they will immediately get used to you going with and without topper. The people around you will NOT notice, and will simply say “I love your new haircut.” Some at most will think what have you done to yourself?

And even if it were noticed, what is the problem? Will they notice that I'm wearing heels? Will they notice that I'm wearing makeup? Well, the same. Does not matter. This is a question of image, of feeling good about yourself. I am more happy.

10. Will it make me too hot?

In the hot season, both the temperature and the activities change. In general, we are at home in short, comfortable pants and when we go out we are warmer.

It is evident that having more hair is going to be hotter than not having it. But not much more than the woman who has her own long hair. In fact, I feel hotter on my neck because of the mane than on my head because of the base of the topper.

The difference is that before, surely having little and short hair did not cause the heat situation.

It's not a big problem or at all unbearable.

11. Will you notice that I'm wearing it?

This is something very important.

It is usually common to have the fear of transition. But I was able to verify that they really are unfounded fears. How am I going to go from being a hairless person to having a mane of hair?!

Too easy. At home they will immediately get used to you going with and without topper. The people around you will NOT notice, and will simply say “I love your new haircut.” Some at most will think what have you done to yourself?

REJECTION EFFECT. 83% of new topper users suffer from what they call the rejection effect. It consists of not recognizing yourself in the mirror.

This rejection effect is something well defined and identified. In fact, it happens with other types of prostheses, for example dental implants.

And even if it were noticed, what is the problem? Will they notice that I'm wearing heels? Will they notice that I'm wearing makeup? Well, the same. Does not matter. This is a question of image, of feeling good about yourself. I am more happy.

12. How to mix it with my hair to make it look more natural?

In this video I show you how to place it so that it looks more natural.

There are people who touch up the roots of their hair, or use hair fibers in the frontal area.

VERY IMPORTANT: When you receive the topper for the first time, most women have the same reaction of first disappointment. This is normal for two reasons:

1. Because you have never seen yourself with so much hair and your mind rejects the idea and tricks you into thinking that it is not natural. Curiously, you start asking others and the others will tell you that it is not true, that it looks great on you. Don't trust your own judgment at first. The mind tricks you. It happened to me and it happens to everyone. But then they end up delighted with their new hair.

2. Because the topper has no style. It has also been crushed and stored. It is a standard shapeless piece. It is essential to take her to a stylist and give her a haircut exactly how you would like your hair to be.
