Washing my Hair Prosthesis (Natural Hair Topper) for the first time
Hi, how are you, I'm Dámaris López from Nais Hair Toppers.
I've been using the topper daily for a month and a half now and as you can see it doesn't look bad at all, but I want to wash it mainly because the front part and the ends look a little greasier, although in general the texture, which I keep touching, still feels super super silky.
But today I want to see for the first time how to wash it and how the result turns out. Let's see.
I SUBMERGE IT: So I take the topper and I carefully submerge it in the water, I have the shampoo here and I work it into the ends and wash normally as I would with my own hair. I try not to put shampoo on this area here so that it doesn't get too damaged. I rub and wash the hair at the ends too
and the front part, which I noticed was dirtier and greasier, I wet and wash normally.
I RINSE IT: So I'm going to rinse it a little here to remove any shampoo, but I'm also going to take it to rinse under the tap. I'll be right back. I've already rinsed it well and here I have water and conditioner, so I mix it well in the water and what I'm going to do is leave it submerged in the water here for three minutes.

It's already been three minutes in the water so I'm going to rinse it a little here, but I'm also taking it to rinse under the tap. I look for the front part and place it here. I've already rinsed it well under the tap, so now I'm going to leave it here to air dry a little.
COMBING: Something I do know from working with extensions is that you always have to comb from the bottom up, from the ends upward, removing the small tangles at the bottom and then working your way up, and then, if possible, you can comb from top to bottom.

I made the mistake of washing the topper without the clips open, so in the end I had to open it because some little hairs got stuck inside. I understand this for next time, but I'm really surprised that it can be combed very, very easily, the comb goes through without a problem.
Maybe because I had it in the water with the conditioner for the three minutes, it brushes almost without problems. If there is any tangle, it comes out working from the bottom up, and again it can be combed without a problem.
LEAVE IT TO DRY IN THE SUN: It has really been very easy to comb. I thought the hair was going to get much more tangled, but there haven't been any problems. I've turned it over and I'm leaving it here in the sun, which is why I took advantage of a sunny day, because I don't want it to stay damp, so I've turned it over and I leave it here for a little while in the sun.

It's already quite dry, there is still some moisture, but it can't be brushed well with one hand, then I hold it with the other and keep combing. If there is any tangle it comes out, but well.
It's quite easy. It's still damp so I'm going to dry it with a hairdryer. Now, well, that's it, it's clean, it didn't take that long to dry.
RESULT: I haven't used a flat iron because I don't have one. When it came from the factory it came completely straightened, but I don't have a flat iron, so this is how it looks, as if it were new. Really, if I have to do this every two months, it doesn't seem like so much work, it hardly took any time.

I have to wash my hair every day if I don't have the topper on, because if I have a bit of grease or if my hair is dirty it is very noticeable, and if I have put on fibers or dry shampoo, then it has to be washed again right away, so I find it quite convenient, it has been very easy.
Until next time!
Ciao
