My first experience with a hair prosthesis: My Hair Topper

Well, I'm here to tell you how I got started in the world of toppers. We have been selling extensions for about 15 years and I have never been able to wear hair extensions because as you may notice I have androgenetic alopecia.

It is very difficult for me to wear extensions because it would be very noticeable, so after suffering for so long, I have finally decided to do something about it.

After lots of well-meaning advice and spending a lot of money on shampoos, oils, vitamins, biotin, etcetera...

Well, this is going to be my solution now:

This is a topper, it's not a wig, they're not extensions. As I was saying, I can't wear extensions because it would be too noticeable, so this is the ideal solution. It is a type of hair prosthesis that is placed on top of your own hair to add volume and length.

I just received it and I've taken the label off. If you see this piece here with the clips so that it fits my hair, this is a solution for people who have little hair in this area.

If you look here, well, it looks like it's real, with the natural hairline and as if it had the parting. So what do we do?

Well, I've put it on two or three times so I still don't know much about how it works. But the idea is that it matches the parting, this parting here, with the parting you normally wear, which I normally wear in the middle, and place it like this, let's see, maybe a little bit.

I've moved the parting a little more to one side. We put the clips on so that it doesn't move, and then the idea is to pull out some of your own hair so that it can blend in with the hairline of this. I pull it out more or less like this, and then, by the way, I have my hair tied up, I let it down so that it blends in, since it's natural hair and the same color, it looks natural like this.

By the way, tomorrow I already have an appointment at the hairdresser's to style it because, as you can see here, I've never had so much hair and it looks so voluminous.

REACTIONS: What reactions has it had so far? I've worn it a couple of times, and people who hadn't seen me in a long time have told me "how your hair has grown" and people who saw me last week have told me "what have you done to your hair", simply that.

Well, tomorrow I'm going to the hairdresser's to see what they do, and we'll notice the difference between wearing the topper with nothing and wearing it with the stylist.
